Großkirchheim


Großkirchheim is a village in the district Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia. It is set on a height of approximately 1.024m above sea level in the region Großglockner in the Hohe Tauern mountain area. The western edge is formed by the Sonnblickgruppe mountains, the eastern by the Schobergruppe mountains. About 40% of the area belong to the National Park Hohe Tauern. Neighboured villages are Heiligenblut, Flattach adn Mörtschach, north of this area is the country Salzburg, and west of Großkirchheim is East Tyrol.
