Schladming (750m), formerly a mine town and today centre of the Dachstein-Tauern-Region, is a wintersports metropolis with international reputation. The house mountains Planai and Hochwurzen represent the main entrance into the "Schladminger 4-Berge Skischaukel" with 4 connected ski mountains. The annual night slalom race at the final slope of the Planai is the absolute highlight of the winter season. Aside the pistes you will find a wonderful network of cross-country ski-trails, a lit tobaggan run, an experience bath, winter hiking trails, ice skating track, indoor sports facilities, museums, horse-drawn sleigh-rides, torch walks, and much more. From the active sports freak and the nighthawk to the familiar lover of indulgence – here all guests will be satisfied.
