The traditionally run 4* family business is picturesquely situated on the edge of the forest. The center can be reached after approx. 300m.
The leisure paradise of Bad Kleinkirchheim, in the middle of the Carinthian Nockberge, leaves nothing to be desired for active vacationers and nature lovers. The excellent network of hiking and biking trails as well as the Alpe-Adria-Trail, which connects Carinthia, Slovenia and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, stretches right in front of the hotel door. Golfers also get their money's worth in the region. 6 places can be reached within 45 minutes by car.
Facilities
The modern comfort of a 4* hotel combined with alpine charm and family hospitality are what define the Trattlerhof. A traditional-style hotel lobby with reception, a rustic house bar, several cozy rooms and a hotel restaurant with regional and seasonal delicacies await you in a family atmosphere. The in-house hut restaurant “Trattlers Einkehr”, approx. 400m from the hotel, with a hut lounge and sun terrace will spoil you with Carinthian specialties, dry-aged beef steaks as well as freshly caught trout and char from the in-house fish pond. The Parkbad am Millstätter See is about a 15-minute drive away and can be used free of charge from June to September (entrance ticket available at reception). Elevator and free parking spaces at the house as well as electric filling station and Tesla Destination Charger (chargeable) available. WiFi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.
Payable locally: Garage EUR 6,- per night. Dog (up to 15kg). EUR 20,- per night subject to EUR 35,- final cleaning. Local tax EUR 3.90 per person/night from 17 years.
Rooms
True to the motto “I feel GUT – excellent holidays at the estate”, the 60 rooms, some furnished with larch wood from the region and brown saddle leather, are the homely expression of romantic life in the mountains. All rooms have a bathroom with bathtub or shower/toilet, hairdryer, telephone, flat screen TV, safe, minibar, desk and WiFi as well as a large sunny balcony.
DO (2-2): Economy double room, approx. 17m², rustic room with larch wood and small bathroom with shower, no balcony.
DS (2-2): Standard double room, approx. 24m², shower/WC, some with sofa.
DU (2-3): Superior double room, approx. 30m², in traditional country house style, with an additional comfortable sofa bed.
DD (2-5): Double room Superior Family, approx. 39m², in traditional country house style, with a large bathroom as well as an additional comfortable sofa bed and sleeping alcove with bunk beds.
EO (1-1): Economy single room, approx. 15m², in a rustic style with a small bathroom with shower, no balcony.
Meals
Gourmet half board: Varied breakfast buffet until 11 a.m. with daily changing themes such as alpine breakfast, imperial breakfast or Bavarian breakfast, afternoon snack - either in the hotel from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or in the hut restaurant “Trattlers Einkehr” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., 5-course dinner -Choice menu (also vegetarian) including salad buffet. 1 x weekly gala dinner with welcome cocktail.
All dishes are prepared using regional and seasonal products from suppliers and farmers in the area as well as herbs from our own garden.
Activities
Weekly entertainment program with vintage tractor rides, torchlight hikes with horses, 1 x weekly hut evening with dance music in "Trattlers Einkehr", guided bike & hiking tours, 2 sand tennis courts, beach volleyball court.
For a fee: trout fishing in our own pond, riding stable with 8 school horses (closed on Monday), riding lessons, e-bike and e-car/Tesla rental, tennis instructor.

Wellness
“Forest Wellness” bathing and sauna area on approx. 1,000m² with a large indoor pool (12x7m), year-round heated forest view relaxation pool (approx. 30°C) in the outdoor area, hot whirlpool, Finnish sauna, panoramic sauna, pine bio sauna , natural aromatic steam bath, infrared cabin, aromatic shower and floating loungers, fitness room, romantic relaxation room with cozy bunks and wellness bar with juices, teas and fresh fruit.
For a fee: massages and treatments with natural cosmetics.
Children
Trattler's Sonnenreich children's area on 400m² with indoor and outdoor fun such as a slide, swing, climbing tower, playhouse with toddler area and Wutzler, child care and activity program for children and young people from 15.7.-31.8. according to notice, separate children's menus for children up to 12 years old.
For a fee: pony farm for children up to 6 years.
