Vorarlberg (2,601 km²) is the most westerly state in Austria and at the same time, the smallest. It extends from the Lake of Constance (Bodensee) to the mountains of the Silvretta and from the Alpine Rhine to Arlberg. The diverse landscapes including the mild banks of the Lake of Constance and the high mountains of more than 3.000m above sea-level combine to create a fascinating region.
Vorarlberg is best-known for its ski regions. The beauty of the mountain world, the certainty of good snow from the end of November until early May, excellent slopes and its special charm have all contributed to Vorarberg's international reputation as one of the most beautiful skiing regions in the Alps.
