Innsbruck
As state capital of Tirol, Innsbruck is seat of the Tiroler state
parliament, the federal state government, numerous authorities, the
church and the education by the “Leopold Franzens” university that
exists since 1669.
In 1964 and 1976 Innsbruck was the location of the olympic winter
games.
The internationally visited tourism and winter sports center is
framed by a ring of impressive mountain summits.
