Salzburg
State capital. One of the largest European culture and tourism
centers, in an unique landscape structure on both banks of the
“Salzach”, framed by the “fortress mountain” (western) and
Kapuzinerberg (eastern).
The pictorial lanes in the old-town, the numerous churches, the
proud fortress and the mountain landscape lend incomparable
attractions to the city. The city is nodal point of important
railroad lines and several major roads wich has lots of importance
of the international traffic.
The mild climate and the buildings in the Italian baroque-style
give a southern accent to the city. Salzburg is festival city,
music city (homeland of Mozart), educational & economic center
due to the salt trade.
